Entry Description

This is a portion of our school's variety show. This is a segment that I really enjoyed directing. We have a crew of 12 that puts together this production that involves 5 cameras including a wireless camera.

Judge 1

Positives: Very nice mix of shots and camera angles. Well done and it's great you had so many cameras and angles to work with.

Improvements: Maybe use some close up shots, which I know can be difficult with a dance performance. Also, if you had a chance to rehearse your cameras when the dancers perform you may find more opportunity to cut a different music cues.

Judge 2

Positives: Liked the use of dissolves. The music called for a slow paced show. Slow dissolves definitely worked. Transitions from one camera to another worked well with the pace of thje music. Nice job.

Improvements: A few close-ups might have been nice.

Judge 3

Positives: Great job. Fun to watch. Everything flowed very well. Camera shots were smooth and lighting and exposure was very good.

Improvements: Only thing I would like to see is a few close-up shots. I think that would add to the overall beauty of the presentation.
