Entry Description

A Freshman worries about his first homecoming dance.

Judge 1

Positives: some interesting shots

Improvements: seemed slightly exaggerated.

Judge 2

Positives: Good use of different activities to represent continuous worry/angst over a period of time as the hero comtemplates his dilemma. Good shot sequence and camerawork during the dance wardrobe solution discussion.

Improvements: Music use starts out well but drops out completely when guest appears at the door, starting up again too abruptly. Sound quality a little uneven. Some shots should be shortened a bit with tighter editing.

Judge 3

Positives: Dialogue was effective. Editing to show anxiety over time with dissolves was effective

Improvements: Showing the main character in a few different locations expressing anxiety in a few different ways would improve the story. Music choice could have been better.
