Entry Description

A news package profiling two teachers participating in the Fulbright Teacher Exchange program

Judge 1

Positives: The use of Skype video enhanced the sense of "distance" from home. Good mix of graphics and supporting images to support the narrative.

Improvements: Try adding some music. That can often enhance the flow of the story you are telling. Consistent audio quality is nearly as important as video. To the best extent possible, be mindful of your audio quality.

Judge 2

Positives: I really liked the graphic combing the two nations' flags. It visually ties the story together. Hearing both teachers compare their experiences helped give the stroy a personal connection

Improvements: The audio jumped around a bit. When you are using audio from different sources, it is important to blend them well. The standups were great addition, but pretty boring, It would have been nice to see some movement as the reporter told the story.

Judge 3

Positives: The opening graphics were cute and explained the set-up of the story very well. The use of graphics throughout the piece offered a good visual variety.

Improvements: Though a use of video was used in the piece (the interview and stand-ups), there was no movement and every shot was static. Additionally, the teachers had some good thoughts and soundbytes. I would have liked to hear more from them.
