Entry Description

When the Arctic wind blows off the lake, and the holiday season is upon us, Amy Yi proves that there are plenty of fun activities to check out in the Chicagoland area.

Judge 1

Positives: Well shot. Good editing. Amy is a great on-air talent. Enjoyable to watch.

Improvements: Be mindful of adequate lighting of faces in the dark. Use graphic text to support event details.

Judge 2

Positives: Loved the car scenes. They were well lit considering you were in car in the dark! The editing on this piece was flawless! Nice transitions and great choice of shots.

Improvements: The audio was very hot. Check your levels, especially when you are blending music. The shots at the zoo were very dark. Bring a light or get your subjects in a better area.

Judge 3

Positives: Excellent opening stand-up! Great camera work showcasing the lights tour and cross country tour. Well done mixing interviews in some of the activities BUT not all - that's well produced. Good bytes from people at the events. This story is VERY well laid out and told... Great job!

Improvements: The mix of interviews was great - however, there may have been one too many stand-ups. I recommend either one at the beginning and one at the end OR one in the middle and the beginning or end.
