Entry Description

When most people think about polo, they think of Ralph Lauren, Champange, and big hats. Most people don't know about all the hard work, time and effort that goes into the sport of polo.

Judge 1

Positives: Well Shot. Great pacing.

Improvements: Many shots look the same. We never learn anything about the "game" of polo to put all that talent and effort into context.

Judge 2

Positives: Wow! The shooting on this has a professional quality! It looks so crisp and clean. Great images! The editing moved the spot at the perfect pace. Great choice for music. It really kept my attention. Just a beautiful piece! Great job.

Improvements: Thie piece was really great looking. The only thing that may have improved it would be some graphic reinforcement.

Judge 3

Positives: Exceptionally well shot... the opening mounting scene with the sun and horse - excellent! Good music and mix of interviews sprinkled throughout.

Improvements: Visually this piece rocked, but story wise - the only thing I felt I learned was that polo was a "difficult" sport. The piece mentioned that at least three times. I would have liked to have heard from the rider and some of the difficulty he faces. Also, for those who aren't familiar with polo, it's hard to understand the game without seeing all the horses in action, as opposed to just one on the field.
