Entry Description

This is one of the acts from our school's variety show. We have a 12 person crew and five cameras. We rehearse for about 10 days in advance of the shows to prepare to cover this event with a professional look from all angles.

Judge 1

Positives: The camera angles were there but shot selection needs to be better. Good exposure and focus.

Improvements: Need to vary up the camera shots and utilize zooms and pans for movement to a static performer. Need to plan camera shots ahead so you're ready for performers moving.

Judge 2

Positives: Liked the camera movements and dissolves. They worked well with the song. Overall the pacing worked.

Improvements: Watch exposure and focus on a couple of shots. Have a bailout shout if needed. Might have kept on a few shots a little long.

Judge 3

Positives: Good job. Good use of different camera angles and the pace of the switching was good.

Improvements: Framing could be better. Some shots of the talent on the right side of the screen seemed odd.
