Entry Description

The emotions that go with normal life occurrences.

Judge 1

Positives: Each shot cut together really nicely. The girl scouts were a really nice touch. Good diversity in location.

Improvements: The idea kind of took a left turn at the end. Although I laughed out loud at "Letter...", the college parts didnt necessarily relate with the days of the week parts.

Judge 2

Positives: Great visual storytelling. Captured emotions and flowed while saying very little.

Improvements: Try and keep a common theme through out the entire film. I think the film would have had an even bigger punch if you just keep the days of the week in. The days of the week was strong where the letter seemed random.

Judge 3

Positives: Excellent comedic timing! Your shot choices and simplistic story was told in a very concise and powerful short film that immediately caught the audience's attention with a nice payoff. Your idea is 100% universally relatable which makes it a perfect choice for a film that everyone can relate to.

Improvements: The 2nd vignette "The Letter" should have been cut from this video. Your story is so strong and there isn't enough pay off or humor to warrant leaving the story of the Letter. Be mindful to keep the same font for all title cards unless used as a stylistic choice that enhances the telling of the story.
