Entry Description

One family who tries to forgive and move on after an unspeakable tragedy.

Judge 1

Positives: took me a little while to figure out the real story - not until the car scene - story telling good, music nice. effective.

Improvements: could have used more close ups, reaction shots, somehow at the beginning give more of a hint as to what the problem was. The car scenes were okay, but more creative editing and shot selection would have enhanced it.

Judge 2

Positives: The juxtaposition between the now and past. Touching drama play out well.

Improvements: Some minor technical issues with focus and shots.

Judge 3

Positives: Nice use of creating home videos. It was a nice touch and added to the narrative.

Improvements: It was unnecessary to show the little sister falling in the street. The viewer could put it together, but this could have further been enhanced by a quick cut or something to break waiting for the inevitable.
