Entry Description

This is a demonstration video on how to make chocolate chip pumpkin muffins. These muffins are a family tradition for us and I thought it would be very visually appealing. They are actually harder to make than one would imagine. I spent more than four hours filming this and baked more than four dozen muffins in the process.

Judge 1

Positives: Very nicely organized and easy to follow your instructions... definitely a DEMONSTRATION video. I liked the open music and the overall pacing.

Improvements: Your delivery is easy to understand but a bit bland. Sound more excited about what you're doing. Find words and phrases that you can emphasize during your delivery. I would have liked to see the finished muffin out of the pan and out of the wrap.

Judge 2

Positives: Nice job. All the necessary info is there. Nice job editing, all the steps are included and edited down to a nice length. The variation of shots is done well too.

Improvements: The one thing I might have done differently and this is probably nitpicking, I would have liked the person making the muffins to be the same person who was narrating the instructions and include some wider shots of the person making the muffins and talking about the current step. Listening to the guys voice while watching the manicured and polished fingernails do the work gave me a comical image of Dr. Frank-n-Furter (Rocky Horror Picture Show) making chocolate chip pumpkin muffins.

Judge 3

Positives: Great job. The shots look great. The audio is very clean. Graphics fit the project very well also.

Improvements: Watch your white balance and dont jump your shot angle so much. On a project like this locking down is your best bet but get cutaways after to add to your project.
