Entry Description

The video revolves around 3 different people who are passionate in what they do: Dancing, Swimming and Ice-Skating. Note: I had only 2 days to cut out parts of the song.

Judge 1

Positives: Like the b&w effect - helps me concentrate on the three people. Decent edits to the music. Some nicely frame shots.

Improvements: I think this video cries out for special effects and you had one in there when you multiplied the dancer on screen. More of that. After a while it just became shots of the three of them and the music began to become annoying instead of enhancing. Also, more creative transitions. And maybe better story boarding where you did some research with the skater and dancer so that you could intercut them doing similar moves. How about sitting on a float board in the pool and have someone pull you alongside the swimmer?

Judge 2

Positives: The B & W worked well with the passion theme. Nice action shots to compliment the music.

Improvements: I would've liked to see more CUs of the characters.

Judge 3

Positives: You had some real nice cuts to the music. I liked the variety of shots, as well as your use of slow motion (ice skating scene).

Improvements: The sound qualities could have been improved. Also, the visuals were too dark.
