Entry Description

"Rock N' Roll... from the ground up!" An original stop-motion animation piece. PLEASE NOTE - Time listed ("1:01") is incorrect! We watched with a stopwatch in hand multiple times before/after uploading. Video is 1:00 exactly but was given an extra phantom second by the youtube gods! :^/

Judge 1

Positives: Impressive. Excellent animation. Entertaining concept. Even though I knew what was going to happen almost from the start the intricate way you animated and assembled the guitar was fascinating and extremely well done. Stringing the guitar was great. I'd like to see more of that.

Improvements: Spend a little more time on the last shot where the guy bangs on the guitar.

Judge 2

Positives: Very impressive animation, I especially liked the multiple objects being animated at once. Music fit perfectly with what was happening on screen. Clever idea.

Improvements: A few instances when the lighting changed suddenly. Sometimes, not often, the object would slow down and then speed up again, and a more consistent pace would have helped.

Judge 3

Positives: You obviously know and enjoy guitars. I like that your film is based on this knowledge. It was delightful seeing all the pieces that make up this Epi.

Improvements: The building of the guitar was nice but could have gone faster. Once you get to the end, which had a nice build-up, it doesn't give me what I need for the BIG ending. Build it more and pace it correctly and you could really have a nice piece.
