Entry Description

"Mongo" is an act from our schools Variety Show that I directed with four cameras live.

Judge 1

Positives: Good job on using quick cuts to match the music and performance. Good job on cutting shots with the solos.

Improvements: Some cuts to camera that didn't have a shot and there was nothing. If the other members of the band were better lit cameras could have focus on them more, rather than just the singer.

Judge 2

Positives: The use of cuts worked well with the song. Overall the shots worked although make sure the camera is set before taking it. There were a few whip pans as you took them.

Improvements: Needed some more good instrument shots in the beginning. What about the drums? At times the cut were a little fast.

Judge 3

Positives: Good job. Great job of using the different camera angles.

Improvements: I feel the timing of the different camera angles was off. Switching just to switch seemed to be used too much. Wait for the next shot to develop before you take it and have a reason to take it.
