Entry Description

In this animated short film, Digi, our main character, interacts with a soccer ball after it bumps into him! We used 3D Studio Max to model and animate this character. Then brought it into after effects to add addition effects such as depth of field. The animation was completely modeled by David Regan. Then animated by David Regan and Jacob Lewis. The story was written by David Regan as well.

Judge 1

Positives: Thanks for including the software used. I am thoroughly impressed at the level of modeling and animation you guys have achieved. Fun concept, great animation, and environment. Are you going to make any more projects with this character? You should. Excellent work!!!

Improvements: Develop the conflict between the soccer ball and Digi more.Come up with on or two additional conflicts. This project could stand to be longer.

Judge 2

Positives: Fantastic model work! Lighting was incredible, and the use of depth and rack focusing was great! Unique character design and story. I loved it!

Improvements: Animation was stiff, and could have greatly benefited with some follow-throughs. I think the addition of a second character would have helped.

Improvements: Now that you have created the character & ball, you need to do more with them - play with different ideas.
