Entry Description

This music video tells the story of a kid and his passion for basketball as he grows up. All original footage; edited on Final Cut Express. Original song, Wings by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, was 5:32 and I edited it down to 3:57 to fit competition requirements. I do not own rights to this song.

Judge 1

Positives: Love the shot sequence on the outside court in the rain. Great story telling - to be continued?? Great use of close ups when they were needed.

Improvements: Even more creative use of the camera - explore shot selection even more.

Judge 2

Positives: Moving story. Stong story told with great visuals, music and editing. Congrats.

Improvements: Some dark shots but very minor.

Judge 3

Positives: This was fun to watch because there are a variety of shots which build upon one another.

Improvements: It would have been nice to see more of a development of the character (another transition to college age). Also, too much time was spent on the younger version.
