Entry Description

A reenactment of a terrible day in one student's life when a bathroom break wasn't an option.

Positives: I hope that t-shirt was planned. Brilliant. Great shot composition and the music was placed perfectly. Excellent work with the music. Comedy is getting so random and blunt lately, and this totally lines up with that. Short, random, and to the point. A winning combination.

Improvements: This video looks fairly advanced, so Ill give some fairly advanced feedback. Try playing around with accent lighting on your interview backgrounds. A splash of light on that clock, or even a flower in the background would add color to the shot, and it would be kind of ironic/funny. Try to keep your white balances consistent. Playing around with colors in a scene is a great tool, but if people have a weird skin tone, it suspends the viewers belief in the film.

Judge 2

Positives: Good dramatic use of slow motion as well as music at the end for the "incident". Good shot composition and camera movement. Shot selection / coverage was well done which made the edit and overall look of the film stand out.

Improvements: Have the voice over streamline through the video. You had set up the the narration but it just stopped. Could have been stronger if his thoughts on the incident were throughout or even if the opening guy had a final thought / lesson learned or some sort of wrap up.

Judge 3

Positives: Good job on re-casting for the re-enactment. The insert shot of the man peeing himself was a nice visual.

Improvements: Try not having your actor smile through everything. It is distracting to the audience and makes it hard for the audience to take the re-enactment, albiet comical in nature, the humor is supposed to come from the serious and humiliating nature. Coming back to your interviewee more often would have helped the pace of this piece. Also, a follow up and conclusion would help tie this piece together.
