Positives: Good job! You’ve used a very nice variety of very interesting shots to construct this narrative. Your interview is composed and lit very well—great job shooting your subject in a compelling environment. This is a topic I don’t know much about, and it was great getting a sense of the drag race lifestyle through your piece. Also, nice, creative use of 3D titles set in a natural environment at the end of your piece.

Improvements: It would be great to hear from more than one subject. While this interview subject was clearly very knowledgeable and committed to drag racing, he was a very low key personality, so it would have been great to hear from a bit more variety of viewpoints/temperaments that might better match the high excitement/intensity level of this topic. Make sure to add a lower third title identifying your interview subject. Overall, good job!

Positives: Great concept! Very different & innovative. It's an inside look at a rarely covered world -- great idea to capture this type of sport. Editing was solid. Some of the car shots were excellent. Would have liked to see more - there's always so much you can do with camera shots/angles and racing!

Improvements: Would have liked more set-up. For example, how long has drag racing been a sport? Who is being interviewed? Needs lower thirds. The subject talking about the drag racing has excellent sound-bites and lots of information to share with the audience; however, if the audience doesn't know anything about drag racing, it's difficult to follow. Might have been fun to spice it up with lower third definitions of some of the drag racing lingo. I always like to think in TV, "assume that the audience knows absolutely nothing about your subject/topic." As TV & film producers, it is your job to explain everything.
