Entry Description

A trailer for the short film "Three's A Mob" that showcases the plot and themes of the movie.

Judge 1

Positives: Angle coverage was excellent. Cutting was well paced and worked as a trailer for the genre.

Improvements: Lighting in the mob scene could have been done more effectively. The audience doesn't actually see her leave the first time - a little confusing when the character talks about the girl leaving (continuity).

Judge 2

Positives: Very interesting concept. The story flows very nicely.

Improvements: Watch screen direction. For example, at 0:08 the couple is looking at the guy sitting in the chair by the wall. You cut to a graphic and then cut to the guy in the couple on the left side of the screen looking toward screen left. The next shot is the other guy centered and looking toward screen right. This makes it feel like they are not communicating. When you are doing a lot of fast cuts character placement and the direction they are looking is very important.
