Two teenagers who run an online newspaper come across a rare and risky opportunity.
Positives: 1. The lighting, and production work was all top-notch. This is something you would see from early college years students! Bravo also to the acting for delivering convincing enough performances even for the age of the performers. 2. To the same vein as the previous point, the camera work especially was fantastic. Even the dolly shot of the two friends leaving the TV studio was done so professionally seamless.
Improvements: 1. The story was nearly flawlessly told with the exception of the ending. I think you could have ended it when they clicked "publish" and showed the reactions of people reading it. You didn't have to show that the news anchor was fired or that his wife and son were living on the streets. That brought it just a tad over the top. Showing their reactions with that musical choice? Fantastic ending. 2. The scene where the ex husband and wife are shoving one another, that could have been shot with more close angles to show the intensity. Besides that part and the end there really wasn't anything wrong with this video. Best one I've seen so far in the competition.
Positives: The performances were realistic and believable. I wanted to see more elements like the montage as they were writing their expose or the scene with the Deadbeat Anchor and his Ex-Wife reading the expose, where dialogue was not used to reveal the action.
Improvements: The piece was dialogue heavy and would have benefitted from additional visual elements. Even if we're hearing a conversation, we could see some other element from the story on screen.
