An unlimited imagination can lead to unlimited fun, or at least minor enjoyment. Two friends participate in a chase and use their imaginations as their weapons.
Positives: - Really great pacing and tension building. The shaky camera effect really brought the viewer into the action. - Sound design was very impressive and matched the action on screen perfectly. (Cocking of guns, shooting, etc...)
Improvements: - While the shaky effect helped sell the tension, at 5 minutes long, it does begin to become more jarring than effective. Always remember that less is more when it comes to action sequences. Sometimes you have to cut your favorite shots for the overall piece to be it's best. - The editing was impressive, but there were a few jump cuts throughout the piece. Jump cuts almost always stand out, but more so when there is a lot of action going on.
Positives: I loved the fact that at the end, the two friends walked off together, confirming the Sagan quote at the opening. You did a fantastic job of using trees as a placeholder for scenes, they really framed out nicely. Also, the acting was great!
Improvements: The lighting insinuated that the shootout went on from the early AM until dusk. That's a long time, unless that's what you were aiming for. You had some really great shots, but there is some incongruence with the aperture with a couple of them. Pick a lane and stick with it, unless you a referencing a flashback, then you can change the coloring, exposure, etc.
