Entry Description

This music video was made as an advertisement for Libertyville High School's production of "Starlight Express." All clips are from a dress rehearsal of the performance as well as some pre-recorded footage that was shown on a projector during the performance. The video was shown during morning announcements to encourage students to see the show.

Judge 1

Positives: Looks like a really great, highly produced play that the school put on. Very impressive.

Improvements: Honestly I have a hard time counting this as a music video, or an original idea. This is a school's play. The work was all done by the theatre department. This video is just cameras filming raw footage of a play and then editing it. Would have been completely different if the cameras were less static and the producers of this project went beyond simply documenting an existing play. I am not going to disqualify this but I don't think it's a music video or at least feel like its unfair to claim this as the work of the director unless he directed the actual play.
