Entry Description

We took our cameras behind the scenes to highlight the Fall 2015 BHS Orchesis Dance Show. This video captures the spectacular dancers framed by dramatic lighting and fog.

Judge 1

Positives: Good camera work. Good use of backlight for drama. Good colors.

Improvements: Too many wide shots. Could have used close ups of faces, feet and hands. Quicker edits when the music picked up.

Judge 2

Positives: Some really beautifully composed shots. I love the BTS shots. You are clearly developing your eye for shooting - some shots were amazing and some could have been even better. Always look at a scene from an angle you can not see at eye level. Well done and keep it up. I always look at a scene as a 360 degree 3 dimensional space. Nice work

Improvements: I was a little sad not to see more camera angles and moves... you have a great eye but need to take some risks - do not be afraid to try something you think may not work. Some of my best shots came from taking a chance.
