Judge 1

Positives: Great job on production value! Great energy throughout, the camera followed the action, which is not easy to do and the audio mix was fantastic - the music didn't fight the anchor. It felt very authentic. Talent was upbeat and engaged throughout - very nice.

Improvements: Could have possibly gotten some tighter shots of the field and included some cut away shots for variety - crowd cheering, coaches calling plays, players on sideline, etc. This would work best if you had the proximity to get a somewhat tight or medium shot. A sound bite from one of the star players after the game would have also been a nice addition. At 1:38 (running time) something interferes with the shot. You could've made an easy fix by editing out those few frames.

Judge 2

Positives: Very slick opening- it's quick, sets the mood and topic, and includes an appropriate upbeat, yet not distracting, music track. Music levels were well-adjusted throughout. I like your set- it's interesting, appropriately sports-themed, and well-lit. It's nice that you include the graphic window to intro the story. Your host has good energy, pace, passion, and knowledge of the story he's reporting. Very nice job of coordinating his comments to the highlight footage being shown. Very easy to follow and understand. Slick, concise closing as well. All good stuff.

Improvements: Your host's pace and energy are great, but I'd love for him to articulate a bit more. It's sometimes difficult to catch every word, so that is something I'd encourage him to work on. I also didn't love the audio. I see he's wearing a lav, but the audio still sounded thin and echo-y to me. Not a huge thing, but it could be warmer and clearer. That's about all I can come up with. Very solid job.

Judge 3

Positives: I assume all of the football footage was created and shot by students. It was well done.

Improvements: Host's audio was not as clear as it should have been with him wearing a mic. Something was odd with the sound. Too long and he was hard to listen to.
