For the Fauna: Frederick Law Olmsted Society is a segment of a mini-documentary series aimed at fostering an environmentally conscious and animal advocating society while promoting local organizations.
Positives: The script was very well written. Editing was spot on in the transitions from the past of Riverside to the contemporary life of the community.
Improvements: Mixing up the editing pace and music may have made the piece more engaging. Narration may have been more effective in spots rather than on camera talent.
Positives: Good use and placement of supporting visuals. Script is very informational. Great job weaving together interviews. Good movement on shots and good use of shots with movement in them.
Improvements: Some of the on camera interviews looked and sounded stiff and lacked emotion. It's possible that a more candid approach would have drawn out a bit of passion the interviewees may possibly have for the society. Some off script moments may have added some emotion. Be careful when shooting outside - the wind interferes with your audio for a brief moment and the sun creates harsh shadows. Shooting upward isn't particularly flattering.
