Sin and Mercy Movie Trailer

Judge 1

Positives: I think that recognizing the technical limitations, acknowledging them and actually veering towards them was very effective. The footage (with limited resources) wouldn't necessarily have been great on its own, but degrading it and adding a film effect successfully added to the fabric of this piece. I also think the music choice (again, other people's intellectual property with House Of The Rising Sun, but I'm assuming there weren't limits on this) was effective. The make-up work was creepy and excellent.

Improvements: I do NOT think that the "premise" of the story was effectively conveyed. I would love to know what this is about. That said, I found it intriguing and compelling. If this featured the "Blumhouse" (http://www.blumhouse.com) logo at the end, people would probably buy in. I think that the trailer could (should) have been longer and implied a little more of what was to come.

Positives: Awesome makeup and music choice. Really cool and creepy at the same time.

Improvements: The lighting is a little weak in some places and it feels more like a commercial than a trailer. Wish there were a few more setups or locations to make this story feel bigger.
