Entry Description

The story of an underdog high school golf team, full of players who have never gone to state before. Determination and brotherhood help lead the team on their journey to the state tournament for the first time in school history.

Judge 1

Positives: The musical build with Mumford and Sons at the end worked very well. Crisp editing. The golfing footage was beautifully shot and really gave you an idea of how good these guys are. And their camaraderie.

Improvements: I wish the narrative of how they finished third in the state and toppled their rival Hinsdale was more dramatically portrayed. It was just kind of stated, but I didn't feel the triumph of that. I would've liked to see even more golfing footage. It's a lot more interesting to look at than the still photos they relied a lot upon.
