Entry Description

The Eisenhower Cardinals go up against the Reavis Rams in a heated game of basketball. WDDE-TV's sports crew was there to catch it live with a multi-camera stream to High School Cube.

Judge 1

Positives: The composition on the cameras along the baseline were good and the thought process behind the directing is good. I like that he/she was trying to use all their cameras.

Improvements: The announcers were not doing a great job describing the action. There were a lot of times there was nothing being said. There is something to be said for letting the game breathe but that was too much silence. The director were using all the cameras but not in the correct way. Basketball is done with one camera at mid court following the teams up and down the floor. Live action is never cut the way it was in this video. The other cameras should be shooting tight shots of the action and the players that are involved in the action. They could also my used under the basket to help ID the players involved in the games. Show the player who scored or the person who committed the foul
