Movie Trailer about a haunted house

Judge 1

Positives: 'House Watch' begins beautifully with a nostalgic music cue to set up two central characters on a 'getaway'. Then things take a turn for the worse – a classic trailer/horror trope that is used effectively here. This piece weaves together a very clear narrative with some compelling scare-tactics.

Improvements: This trailer is lacking a powerful ending to book-end the effective beginning. Using strong SFX hits and rises could really help the pacing of the trailer overall, and could effectively punctuate some of the scariest moments. Improving the depth and creativity in lighting could really help sell the mood/tone of this piece.

Judge 2

Positives: There are some great details in your work. Using the time-lapse sunset was very clever. The ghosty person standing outside the house at :46 was very effective. At 1:06 and 1:14 you revealed details in a unique way. Revealing the woman in the doorway the way you did at 1:06 adds to the horror of the scene.

Improvements: The audio quality at :52 is not a clear as the rest of you trailer. Try using a mikes that can be placed closer to your actresses, especially when in a live room. (a room with a lot of echo)
