A World Unfiltered

Wheaton-Warrenville South
Movie Trailer

Entry Description

Based on the short story "The Pedestrian" By Ray Bradbury. In a world ruled by social media and selfies, the government decided that all photos posted on social media must have a location tag. This is so that the government can track and know where each person is at all times. This is a story about what happens to two people, one person who breaks the law and another who witnesses what the governments reaction is.

Positives: The scrolling text in the beginning and through out gave the trailer a spy movie feel. It basically sets the tone and tells the audience what the conflict of the story is. I thought it was a good choice for the director to use a hand held tracking shot to create suspense.

Improvements: The beeping sounding effect was a little too jarring. The tracking shot, although a nice attempt, started to get real shaky and made no apparent attempt to focus on what's happening in the frame. The cut in the chase scene was confusing because it switched the perspective from the character being chased to the ones chasing her.
