Entry Description

A fake movie trailer of a plucky young turtle with big dreams of going back home to where he hatched, the name Home comes from this. Along the little turtle ways he will twine himself in his own little adventure. He will learn that the world is much bigger than a 5 by 3 inch cage and in turn go onto his magical adventure.

Judge 1

Positives: Good use of the trailer model for an independent film about a character's journey to find their way home. It is also very clear and concise about the how the turtle is kept as a pet and escapes to find its way home.

Improvements: - What other ways can your trailer inform the audience about what the film will be about beyond the character's journey to find their way home? - Good cut away to the close up of the snake to show the "danger" and threats faced by your character. Adding more shots could help increase the speed of the piece and also add more dynamic to your trailer. Consider looking at other trailers for films that are similar to your film. FINDING NEMO comes to mind to me.
