Entry Description

Video accompanying "The Sounds of Inevitability", an original song by local Des Plaines band, Roundabout. Filmed on location in Chicago and nearby suburbs.

Judge 1

Positives: Great use of abstract color! Really interesting editing. Loved that its an original song .

Improvements: Camera is over exposed and a little shakey at times. Can be improved. Editing can be a little more on the beat.

Judge 2

Positives: You did a nice job using multilayer editing and graphics to support the video in telling your story and keeping the video visually fresh for the viewer. It shows a lot of effort in the project. Also, I commend you for using an original song, which added the extra challenge of audio to your work. Nice effort.

Improvements: The quality of your outdoor scenes was lacking in comparison to some of the other work. I'm not sure what equipment you had on hand, but perhaps this was your best option. On that note, regardless of the camera you are using, make sure the lens is clean when shooting outside. While I give you credit for taking on the "sound" challenge by going with original work, the audio was a bit muddy, but again, I understand you may have been limited in what you had to work with.
