Entry Description

This reel is a quick compilation of my recent cinematic endeavors. The video is edited heavily to create a sense of wonder and excitement about my work and I hope you find it is an accurate representation of my abilities as a director and cinematographer.

Judge 1

Positives: The cinematography showed a diverse understanding of how to shoot something for VFX. Wide array of shots and creativity behind the camera and in the editing. This student shows a great understanding of how to complement a film background with current VFX artistry. Second shot with vertigo effect and green screen shot with the locker were my favorite shots.

Improvements: The showreel felt like a mashup and didn't have a consistent story, besides for showcasing Chris's work. Learning how to color correct would take this showreel to the next level.

Judge 2

Positives: You have a very good aesthetic for directing and composition of shots and sequencing. Use of FX good.

Improvements: Some of the camera shots included were too average to be considered "your best work" in a reel. Watch framing a bit more.
