Made a hype commercial for a assembly coming on March 4th.
Positives: Great job editing to the music and creating an exciting feel with your visual storytelling. Really liked your ending. good use of graphics. Timed really well.
Improvements: Would have loved you to use some audio from the event to really boost the storytelling The beginning laughing was inconsistent with the rest of your commercial and a little distracting. try to use audio that add to your story.
Positives: Two elements that worked well - 1. I like the music and editing - I liked how the music started before any visuals immediately putting the viewer in the right state of mind for what they are about to watch. Also, the music tempo and pace matches the visuals well too. Every time there was a punch in the music it was reflected in the visuals. Well done. 2. I also liked the use of motion graphics explaining what each visual was - Student talent, Pom Poms, Pie eating contest....the viewer most likely has never been to this assembly so this is a great glimpse of what to expect from a Giants Assembly. Very helpful.
Improvements: Two recommendations for improvement - 1. I would recommend moving "The Giants Assembly" and "March 4th" up in the video. That's very important information and might easily be missed because there's a lot of blackness before / after which could potentially confuse the viewer into thinking the film commercial is over when really that's the most important information. 2. The black and white is a nice effect but I think this film in color or with colored accents would be stronger. The purpose of the assembly is to raise The Giant's team spirit and to pump everyone up. I would suggest highlighting the school's colors throughout the black and white to further the hype for The Giants.
