This is a trailer for a fictional short film titled "Lovesick." The trailer strikes a balance between humor, romance, and science fiction. The production involved a diverse range of techniques, including complex sound design, purposeful editing, and extensive visual effects and motion graphics. Despite its serious opening, the trailer is intended to entertain.
Positives: The visual effects and motion graphics were well done. That glowing bottle was cool. The story throughout the trailer is pretty straight forward. Which is a good thing. You want your audience to know what they're getting themselves into with a movie like this. It's the Nutty Professor meets Van Wilder.
Improvements: The audio mix needs work. It's not your fault, high school hallways tend to echo. Maybe ADR a lot of the scenes to fix this problem. I would cut the scenes quicker. It would punch up the jokes more.
Positives: Liked your "trailer" slate. Good lighting at the beginning with interview. Nice work with graphics. Interesting storyline
Improvements: Some acting a bit forced. Audio varied too much from scene to scene.
