Entry Description

This 30 second commercial promotes one of only two CTE programs advertised citywide from our particular school. It shows both the high level daily involvement necessary and fun organically obtained from the Advanced Level RTV classes...

Judge 1

Positives: Visually really cool! Your editing skills and graphics are on point! you are very talented.

Improvements: It's visually really cool but i'm not sure what the story is. I can infer, but for someone who isn't aware of the group, they would need more info! make sure your story can always stand alone and impact someone who has never heard of your brand before. using graphics or a short interview can help you build the story!

Judge 2

Positives: Two elements that worked well - 1. I really enjoyed the editing of this film. The fast cuts in the beginning matched the music well, the jump cuts of each student was interesting, and the call to action "Join RTV room 331 See Mrs. Garris" was smart for promotion purposes. 2. I also enjoyed the camera angles. I liked seeing the students walk up the stairs from behind, multiple shots of the female student working on the camera, the over the shoulder shot of the student editing....all made the film more interesting.

Improvements: Two recommendations for improvement - 1. I would have liked to know more about what RTV from the film. I assumed it's Radio and TV class but without connecting the dots for the viewer, it creates a bit of confusion. My suggestion maybe include someone writing a script or interviewing someone... 2. I would recommend extending each word card by a 2 seconds, they flew by pretty quickly making it hard to read and digest for the viewer.
