A breathtaking and an intimate portrait of the lives of a family of Huguenot silk-weavers from 1724 to the dawn of the 20th Century.
Positives: Exceptional job with all of the broll! You have a great eye! Great job with the interview- strong story telling.
Improvements: Including more info at top about where the house is...and at the end how to get tickets/experience could help drive sales/awareness!
Positives: Two elements that worked well - 1. I liked the tempo of this film. The opening scene "Dennis Servers' House" matches the music perfectly. This repeats throughout the film with quick cuts matching the music which compliments the visuals nicely. Also, great choice of music for this film. 2. Good job matching the B roll with what the VO. I kept up with the story because the subject was explaining what I was looking at at that moment. This is very important since this topic is most likely a new to most viewers.
Improvements: Two recommendations for improvement - 1. The lighting in some of the shots made it difficult to understand what the viewer was looking at. Many shots were dark or backlit making it difficult to understand what is being showcased. 2. I would have liked to see more movement from the camera, maybe panning L - R in one of the rooms or a POV shot of entering the basement since that's where the journey begins. The still shots were beautiful and taken from interesting angles however it would have been nice to see more movement from the camera.
