Entry Description

Inspired by the popular series "Humans of New York", an interdisciplinary project is hatched to populate the school with the faces and quotes of students and staff members alike.

Judge 1

Positives: The live interview shots were well composed and effective. You not only followed the rule of thirds, but you included interesting elements and objects to balance the composition of the frames. Goos use of b-roll. You used the interview shots sparingly. The b-roll appropriately complimented the commentary.

Improvements: Here are some suggestions that could be used to make this project a little better. Find different ways to show the photo walls. Think of different moves, dissolves, framing, etc. Can you shoot b-roll that would illustrate the process of creating these specific photos?

Judge 2

Positives: A story about still photos can be challenging from a video perspective, but this was done well, soundbytes told the story effectively

Improvements: Where was the reporter? Voice tracks? Really this was a nat-sound piece, done well, mind you, but a nat-sound piece more than a true Reporter PKG
