Students perform a "Gypsy Jazz" song during York's Fine Arts Week.

Judge 1

Positives: The overall quality of this shoot and it's edits were good. Nice use of blending in your transitions to make them flow along with the music rather than having abrupt transitions.

Improvements: Recording a live act, especially with different instruments can be tricky, and you did a nice job here, but it felt like some of the instruments were peaking at times, which damages the sound quality. While I think its great that there were camera angles focusing on the hands playing the instruments, I wanted to see more of the performers faces mixed in as well. Playing music is an emotional thing and capturing some of that in the facial expressions will greatly enhance your work.
