Stop motion Watermelon Pop Tarts

Judge 1

Positives: Really cute idea. Great job with the creative story on this! I like the sound effects on this! different way to think about audio instead of just putting on a song. really helped further your story line. maybe a few more for crashes or combined with some graphics could have really amplified

Improvements: The lighting was a little rough. The more you shoot the more you will improve! You could have ended it with the shot at 26 seconds and your graphics. sometimes shorter is better and this was a great ending shot!

Judge 2

Positives: Two elements that worked well - 1. I liked the use of the camera - switching from ECU to CU on the pop part boxes and the pop tarts in the watermelon really showcases the cameraman's knowledge of how to capture film. 2. The editing for stop motion worked nicely, especially when the boxes of Pop Tarts and the watermelon are on the island. That's where the stop motion really excels.

Improvements: Two recommendations for improvement - 1. I found the narrative to be hard to follow. I'm still a little confused as to what exactly happened in the film. Did the watermelon pop tarts destroy all the other pop tarts and take over? 2. Sound / motion graphics - I would recommend since the sound is inaudible noises from the food (not English) I would recommend using motion graphics / type to tell the story. Since the sound doesn't assist with the story, only adds to the pop tart characters, I would recommend adding something to help tell the story.
