Short collection of videos produced by Vicram Chatterjee and VicramFilms.

Judge 1

Positives: Nice compositions, blends of real time/internal time.

Improvements: Need to show what you can do with lighting - not all available outside lighting.

Judge 2

Positives: This cinematography reel has a nice variety of shot composition and motion – one of the only uses of drone / heli cinematography, and Steadicam cinematography that I have seen in the competition. These techniques were well-employed as establishing shots and give great characterization to the locations used in the reel. My favorite shots took place as a subject ran, silhouetted, up the stairs/platform of the elevated train. Would love to see more of that material. Great music selection for the piece.

Improvements: Cut the VO! The narration isn't necessary for this piece – the images speak on their own. I would also like to see some non-available light setups in the future. There were a few really beautiful artificial lighting setups in here (black and white hard lighting on a subjects arms / hands) and I'd like to see more like that – lighting that displays an understanding for tone and character.
