  • 3/7 10:33 am - Not sure how the coaches first sound bite related to the story of athlete of the week unless you set the stage (narration track) for the fact that he's playing a position he didn't play to start the season. Stand up location could have been more effective if it was on the football field but it did not distract from the information presented in the interview. There were a few wind issues with the soundbite where a wind screen, blocking, or choosing a new location could have helped. The editing of this package was effective with a great use of natural sound. Both interviews were effective in conveying the story however transitions (narration track) between soundbites could have helped the development of the story.
  • 3/5 2:43 pm - Sound and video quality are great. Lighting is fine for the most part -- I question the interview with the coach. It's clearly an overcast day, but he is still wearing sunglasses and a hat. Could there have been a better way to use natural light to brighten that shot? Great use of sound bites. I would like to see more variety in the b-roll. A lot of wide shots, little detail. It would have been great to see medium shots or close ups of Hasahn Austin on the field, working out, doing his thing. The details are what make a great story.

Positives: I really like the idea of this piece. I thought that the interview of the player was well framed despite him trying to move on you.

Improvements: Some of the interview sound bites jump from one topic to another with no clear link. That makes it hard for a viewer to follow what is going one. Some of the shots are fast, and the action is not fully completed. Allow the action to be completed.
