An empty lot on the corner of West Street and U.S. Highway 231 has been purchased by the city of Crown Point (Indiana) in order to build a new community park in the downtown area.

The reporter does an excellent job presenting the information and leading into the interview. This news package could have been even better if more perspectives were pulled in through interviews. What did others in the community think? We sort of get this in the voice over, but it would be more effective if we heard it straight from the horse's mouth.

Positives: nice broll that supports the vo liek that you set up the story and then took the story to a problem area of the city and then shared the solution. good job with graphics

Improvements: Good job on your vo- i would slow down just a tad and find your cadence.

Positives: Well written. Kudos for getting interview from Mayor of crown Point.

Improvements: Good opening shots of town. Would have like to see more to draw viewer in. Try walking with the camera to vary shots and get the viewer closer to the story. Not sure if graphics were available but the story could have benefitted from use of graphics when mentioning amount of purchase, grant amount and time frame for completion of project. Also, at 1:10 when there is a shot of the planned park, it would have helped to use a few moves on what is being discussed. ( splash pad, band shell, etc.).
