  • 4/14 1:50 pm - Positives: There's some stunning shots in this reel--I particularly like the silhouette shot at the beginning and the shot in the forest--the blue lighting is very cool. There's a great pacing to this reel--it moves just fast enough. I am impressed by your shot variety--many different compositions and angles. Improvements: Some shots seem a bit hazy--possibly a color correction issue.

  • 3/3 2:57 pm - There are many things done well in this reel. While I love the beauty shots taken on travel, I’m drawn to the shots recorded not from opportunity, through the chance action you found to record, but from the shots you’ve planned. The shots in forest, the boardroom, car, and the noir scenes therefore were of particular interest. The Single source light in most of these shots provides nice contrast, harsh shadows, and some interesting silhouettes. Couple that with the hazer I assume you’ve used, the light itself adds a nice moody textural element. A couple shots I’m not wild about are the plane and the fountain. These are are so starkly less interesting than the other shots in that they feel out of place.
  • 2/28 4:34 pm - Great compilation of different shots, tremendous variety and use of light in difficult spaces and places. Really like the range, showcasing your skills as a cinematographer. Would have loved to see more London shots, the Chicago shots worked well. Nice job taking advantage of quite the travel schedule.

Positives: Excellent diversity in scene content and shooting environments. Dramatic low lighting shots were very effective.

Improvements: Only one suggestion: make name / title / contact info as exciting as clips. Plain font, no movement ... doesn't match style.
