Entry Description

This PSA is about self love and confidence in your own natural beauty. This is really targeted to girls, because today there are many pressure on us to look a certain way.

Recent Teacher Comments

• 4/27 1:52 pm - Simple and well lit mirror shots. Close ups of makeup work well. The song choice drives the pace of the video nicely. The last scene isn't completely necessary.
• 3/5 3:35 pm - I loved the simplicity and jump cuts in this, but it felt like it went on for a bit too long before we got to the point. While I liked the truck at the end, the jump cut was awkward to having her at the computer. This might have been more effective as a 30 second spot, but it was well done.
• 3/2 8:57 am - Liked the idea. Really enjoyed the close ups of the makeup. Quote should either be shorter, or be up on screen for longer so we can fully read it. Maybe showing the picture in the magazine that the girl is trying to recreate would really drive home the point. Not sure if ending shot of girl sitting at the computer is needed- think you could even end after she gets her glasses on.

Judge 1

Positives: The graphics and music were great. Closer shots of her putting on makeup would have been good. More shots of what she is attempting to look like - make that "need" more concrete so that the change is deeper felt by audience.

Improvements: Too much putting on makeup. More of the great message.

Positives: good message, nice camera movement

Improvements: awkward jump-cut near the end doesn't seem motivated. Not sure what caused her to change her mind and remove the makeup. Something she read? could have been clearer.
