  • 3/7 4:57 pm - Powerful message. Your story is well-written and the audio is clear. Dramatic lighting worked well, but the lighting strategy is a bit uneven. Multiple locations worked well, but scout them before shooting and plan for lighting accordingly. Shoot test footage. Camera movement was smooth, but not always advancing the story because of the shot content/location. As an outsider, I did not understand the connection of the dark hallways to the VO at :56.

Positives: -Lighting is solid. -Camera settings appropriate. Good color depth. -Audio mix levels are appropriate. No noticeable presence.

Improvements: -Some camera moves are choppy. Dolly changes direction at spots where it seems like they just ran out of space. -Tempo of the piece doesn't seem to advance. There was a sequence of shots that looked like the cut was taking us to a new place, but the style reverted. -Several plosives.

Positives: the idea of her in different locations of the school was well executed. lighting was nice looking

Improvements: intro title cards could have been shorter, some of the pans were not necessary and almost seemed force.

Judge 3

Positives: Very good story line Could tell a lot of time and prep went into it Uniquely done, well thought out! nice use of lighting effects

Improvements: the b-roll didn't make much sense, could have been more effective
