An excerpt of the 2017 V-Show Opening Video: It is a dark time at Maine South. Principal Messmer has vanished and the students must recover a mystical object in order to save the school in this Sci-Fi Action parody.

• 3/7 8:26 am - Really nice job with filming and use of moving camera. Clearly there was a vision here that was executed well. I wish I could've seen the start and the end to better understand this piece. Not sure I loved the Benny Hill part as it didn't seem to go with anything else.
• 2/27 3:58 pm - There’s a lot that I really like here. Some very good shot composition, camera movement, use of animation/SFX, audio, lighting, and editing FX. I have to say, my biggest critique is that I wish you’d take yourself a little more seriously. Some of your big, epic moments are quite effective, but when they’re interrupted by the Benny Hill bit, for example, it kills the energy. You do some very solid audio editing, but interrupt it with a campy gag line. I know this is a student project (and a comedy), but I end up wishing you’d raise the bar and commit to putting your considerable abilities toward a more deserving product. Like I said, there’s a lot I like here. Keep at it.

Positives: Nice opening sequence paired with the music. Some pretty fun sound effects. A little Benny Hill...yes!

Improvements: Music bed became distracting at times. Video levels were all over the place. I realize it is tough shooting around windows and without lighting-something to avoid.
