  • 4/24 10:59 am - As others have noted, this video is hard to pin down. You have really good elements of a montage, of an news package, of a man on the street, and yet these are all in one piece. You want to think about purpose moving forward; obviously if you go into the field you will have clear expectations. With all that said, you have some great elements here. The interviews, both during daylight and at night, are well framed and demonstrate an understanding of the camera. However, do not give your subjects the mic! You have a great series of shots from the field but we need to see a transition between the two types of filming so it's clear it's "fan" footage vs. the professional work of a cinematographer (even if they're the same person). Keep up the great work!
  • 3/5 12:39 pm - Reporter audio sounds so much different when we do not see him. Interviewees should not hold the mic. Too much racking focus and out of focus shots. What footage did you do and what footage was taken from someone/somewhere else (FOX?)? If this is a news piece, I'm not sure if the music video fit in. I bet you were pretty excited about it, but I'm not sure what we are supposed to get out of the 40 seconds of music and b-roll.
  • 2/27 11:31 am - This story is more of a "man on the street" type story. It certainly felt like there was excitement in the piece. The video was pretty choppy, plus I'm assuming FOX didn't give you permission to use their game footage (be careful with that). The music didn't really fit the rest of the piece and the game highlights. You allowed your interviews to hold the mic themselves which is a news package no-no.
