  • 3/7 10:49 am - Powerful and informative story. The use of natural sounds, and footage was creative and effective. Great editing the audio with the visuals of the story. Well done getting the footage of the actual event as opposed to b roll. Interviews were well conducted and enhanced the story.
  • 3/5 3:02 pm - What a cool story! Impressive work. The b-roll and interviews are very professional and well composed. I really don't have much criticism for this piece. I think the opening shot of the reporter could have been a little tighter, but otherwise this was very well organized and shot. Well done.

Positives: - Overall, good story. Great interviews! - Your video is strong. It held my attention throughout the entire story.

Improvements: - I don't know what your limitations were, but I would love to hear from teachers. I want know if they felt the drill was helpful. - The piece is missing any mention of students. Even though students didn't participate in the drill, at the heart of the story is the importance of protecting children. One way to illustrate this would be a sound bite with a teacher talking about what their students mean to them. If it wasn't possible to speak to a teacher, you could add that message to your narration.

Positives: Good, supportive b-roll. Story message is clear. Good sound bites.

Improvements: Nat Sot often missing under b-roll. Really feel that when teachers are running down hallway. Nat Sot extremely important. Sense of urgency missing in some of the police shots i.e., when team enters room with their shields.. too slow
