  • 4/28 5:18 am - Strong opening graphic, poor frame of first interview, uncomfortable eye contact with interview, audio quality to interview, great music selection. Strong story, good piece!
  • 4/27 8:08 pm - First sound bite was up-cut. V/O was echo-y. Use dissolves instead of cuts to reflect a softer, more feature-y mood. After ISU photo, you didn't have to come back to him for half-a-second. Mom and others besides main subject should be looking off-camera. Main subject is the only one who really needs to speak directly to audience, not supporting folks. Main subject interview framing too empty top/right. Technically well-produced piece but I never felt the emotional, triumphant connection suggested by the closing music.
  • 4/9 2:37 pm - Nice intro shot with needle. Interviews were well shot with god B-roll. Good choices of when to cut back to speakers. Music choices were good, soaring a bit in the part where hope was introduced. One or two pictures were cut a bit short but, over all, it’s really well put together.
