Lots of energy and very strong homegrown graphics / Uneven lighting on anchor at desk (more fill needed)- little blown on other side / OPA story- need tripod- shots too shaky- use a tripod!!!- music track too hot, pot it down!!! / Sports anchor – good highlights, delivery, music track too loud Great shooting, editing on swim bit still need tripod or rig for steady shots / Krispy Kreme story- watch lighting, sound editing, cut the music- good writing and VO / The host is tremendous- great delivery and gravitas- she has a future!
• 2/28 2:55 pm - I really like the whole-makeup of this news program. The dynamic camera shots in the beginning and at the end with lead anchor was well done and gives the viewer a behind the scenes feel. Main anchor (at beginning and end of program) did a nice job, professional yet personable approach; clear delivery. Anchor desk also did a nice job, looked like the light was a little hot on right of screen. The Opa! story was well down with quality voice-over. Also used sound effects to support transitions in the story-- while I do like that style, it didn't seem to fit with the rest of the program's transitions. Swimming promo was a nice touch to break up the pace of the news. The graphics that supported the rest of the announcements were nicely done and a good way to make sure the audience sees and hears the information. On the whole, I really liked the style and some of the alternate "looks" you're showing your audience; well-done!

Judge 1

Positives: I like the opening music. Great energy in host's opening. She's great throughout the whole piece! I like the unique ways you shot on your set. Good energy with the anchor. Loved the package on the swim team - good use of shots. Great job with the Krispy Kreme piece - I like that you used people in town, the mayor, etc. All in all, really great job! One of my favorites!

Improvements: Lighting is sometimes too much and blows out your hosts. I think you should center your anchor against the Vikings sign in the background. When talking about the band trip, I'd be more careful about instruments in the background. I wish - when talking about the Greek trip - I would have found out if they hit their fundraising goal.

Positives: Energy immediate. Solid montage, excellent production. Anchor could work in market 140 right now.

Improvements: The tripod is your friend. It's okay to use it. Good graphics at start, but I want more fonts.
