  • 3/30 12:29 pm - Positives: Good use of music and sound effects to add to the suspenseful tone. The final shot where the main character turns around to see who is following her is awesome. Overall great trailer! Improvements: I understand that the "shaky camera" look was used to create anxiety and suspense, however, sometimes the shots are too shaky where it appears to be a mistake rather than on purpose.
  • 3/6 5:00 pm - Good job with the pacing of your story and slowly building up the action and tension. Good mixture of shots to help tell the tale. Music was well chosen and your audio of the footsteps were well done. I think to make this a more interesting trailer, you needed to create more rising action at different moments in the story. This story progressed too linearly for a movie trailer. I wanted to see shots of terror from the protagonist, more incidents to create tension, etc. This trailer progressed in straight order. Additional moments from different parts of the story were needed to make the trailer more compelling.

Positives: Very effective use of soundtrack to build tension – and excellent decision to open on a shot of the dog to create a sense of comfort, which is quickly juxtaposed with the horror elements. Narrative is very clear, and simple.

Improvements: A distinct camera-style and use of additional lighting could have helped enhance the horror/thriller tone of this piece. For example, continuing what the filmmaker created with the opening shot – using the dog's perspective as a distinct way of telling the story throughout.

Positives: - good use a camera angles to enhance the storytelling - good build of score to raise the tension

Improvements: - what is the overall story of the film? This is more of an opening scene than a trailer.
